Fun, edgy and big on flavour, Bund is bringing Shanghai-inspired food with eclectic, modern interpretations to The Streets, with lunch through to late evening meals available at this 100+ seater eatery.
Inspired by the old and created for the new, Bund's concept is influenced by the cuisine and restaurants of Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Hong Kong, with the menu crafted to be shared with good company.
If you’re starting to ride the wave of fandom for East-meets-West fare, life is about to get particularly appetising. Think kimchi-flavoured arancini balls, crunchy king prawns coated in mascarpone, not to mention the soon-to-be-signature Shanghai-style kung pao chicken schnitzel.
Much of Hong Kong-born Head Chef Kennedy Wong’s menu is bar style food made to share with strong use of shaokao-style (Chinese barbeque) inspired by Sous Chef, Chris Chen.
An open kitchen and bar bring theatrical flair to this otherwise interactive space with live dumpling creation, flaming woks, shaking of cocktails and a heady scent of chargrill.
Inside boasts a high bar, bench seating, neon lights and street art which when combined with a playful colour palette of blue, red and gold, emulates the Bund precinct in Shanghai. Gleaming interiors by Studio Hiyaku feature street art by Alex Lehours who together create an exhilarating yet approachable space for afterwork tipples, small bites and fun times.
Bund’s cocktail concoctions inspired by Asian flavours with street appeal and edge are matched with an eclectic and quirky wine list which is sure to please.
