Peter's of Kensington
Because you never know when you might need a KitchenAid.
With over 30 years’ experience, Peter's of Kensington is a Sydney institution. After starting out as a small gift shop on leafy Anzac Parade, the store continued to grow, and eventually moved into its iconic pink warehouse in Kensington.
Since then, Peter's has become renowned for the extensive range of products it carries, and anyone who's visited the Kensington store on a Saturday will be familiar with the scores of people constantly coming in and out of the 3-level building. Whether you're in need of some new kitchen utensils, champagne flutes, cast iron cookware, travel accessories or perfume - chances are they've got exactly what you need.
Now, the family-owned business has opened an elegant, light-filled store on The Streets, with a carefully-chosen selection of their products to cater to the needs of local workers, residents and visitors. Stepping inside, it'll be hard for your eyes not to be immediately drawn to the colourful display of KitchenAids behind the counter - but take time to explore the store, and discover the collections of crockery, linen, home decorations and gifts on display.
If it's more convenient for you to order online while you're sitting on the couch at home (or procrastinating at work...), you'll be glad to hear that the new Barangaroo store offers a handy click and collect service, giving you access to the full Peter's of Kensington range (which is so extensive, mathematicians are still devising a formula to figure out how many individual products are available).
Their same-day service means that if you order online before 12pm, you can pick up in-store later that afternoon, and be dipping into your new fondue pot that very evening.
Peter's of Kensington is located on Shipwright Walk (view on Google Maps), and is open 7 days a week.
